Select Image Source

Block Image Browser allows to access multiple image sources. The supported formats for the image sources are :

  1. Default Icon set (*.iconset) distributed with the application.
  2. Local folder containing the images organized in various sub-folders.
  3. Network folder containing the images organized in various sub-folders.

Image source refers to the files (only .iconset extension) or folders which contains images. Once an image source is selected,the images under that source is displayed on the main screen. Multiple image sources can be selected simultaneously. By default, the automotive and aerospace icon set distributed with the application is selected and the images under them are displayed automatically. The user can select and change the image sources according to the needs.

Steps to change the Image Source :

In the main menu, select Edit -> Preferences
ImageSource

Preferences Window opens up.

  1. Select Image Repository in the list of preferences present in the left hand side.
  2. Under Image Repository, the user has the choice to select the image sources.
  3. Browse the path of the image source in Image set and Folder.
  4. Select Image set check box to access the files with .iconset extension.
  5. Select Folder check box to access the local folders which contains images.

Block Image Browser allows the user to link images as per user's preference.

  1. Select Image Linking in the list of preferences present in the left hand side.
  2. To warn before changing the regular subsystem to masked subsystem, select the first check box.
  3. To warn before changing the non image based masked displays, select the second checkbox.
  4. ImageLink

Image can be linked to a block in three different ways.

  1. To store the image directly in to a block, select the first radio button.
  2. To directly refer the image file, select the second radio button.
  3. To download and store as local images and then embed, select the third radio button. This provides two options to the user.
    • To store the image in the same folder as the model, select the first radio button.
    • To store the image in a specific directory, select the second radio button. By default, current directory is selected. To change the path, select the desired path.
  4. Click on Apply button and then OK button to reflect the changes made.
  5. Else, click on Restore Defaults button to set the parameters to their default values.

Block Image Browser allows user to launch MATLAB with specific version.
LinkMatlab

  1. Select the version from Matlab Version drop down list box.
  2. Browse for the installation path of the specific MATLAB version and select the path of .exe file in Bin folder.
  3. Choose the Bin directory path as starting directory.
  4. Click on Apply button,Then click on OK button.
  5. Click on Restore Defaults to launch the last installed version of MATLAB.
  6. To open MATLAB, click on Launch Matlab button in the application's home window. By default, the last installed version of MATLAB is launched.
